Last Wednesday we were able to take the Espanola French High school for a tour around Manitoulin Island to showcase different stream restoration sites to the students and to see the salmon spawning in the rivers.
Some of the students had never seen salmon spawning before and there was a lot of excitement! We are hoping to develop more educational tour packages that we can send to the school board that will highlight some of the curriculum being taught at different grade levels.
