It was a crisp but beautiful day on this winter tour at Providence Bay Beach as Sue lead a home school group on a stream restoration and beach dune educational. These eager young stewards were excited to learn and share their knowledge as well. Thanks to Shannon and the crew for a wonderful adventure and the donation to Manitoulin Streams!

Trappers Course 2017

Once again we are proud to report we had another successful year for our trappers course. Thanks again to George Hagen and Gino Cacciotti for their efforts to host this. These youths walk away with an experience of a lifetime and are able to obtain their trappers license and a kit. We hope to continue this session every year and look for other funding opportunities to support it. If you or anyone you know would like to support this course for our youth, please contact our office.

We are having regular requests from off island for educational tours and happy to accommodate! This class was extremely happy to venture to our neck of the woods and learn about restoration work and stream biology. Thanks a bunch to Lasalle High School for including us in on their tour day!
