According to Bill Strain of The Little Current Fish and Game Club, they have had many good years with raising walleye fingerlings but this was the best they have ever had. They started out with 120,000 fry and they took 14 truck loads of walleye in the stocking tank and he estimated that they had 80% return in fingerlings this year. Fingerlings were stocked in local waters and the females should return to spawn in four years time. Thank you to all the volunteers and the clubs efforts for ensuring our kids and grandkids have great fishing adventures in future years to come! If you are interested in getting involved the Little Current Fish and Game Club is looking for new members to help continue this legacy!
