Stewardship Initiatives

Manitoulin Streams partners with various organizations, municipalities and First Nations to develop and carry-out stewardship projects and initiatives that improve the health rivers and streams but also the overall stewardship of the land. These initiatives have included:
  • Deer Save
  • Norton's Creek Eyed Egg Event/micro-hatcheries
  • Invasive Species Management
  • The Island Wide Garbage Cleanup Event

As Manitoulin Streams has absorbed the Manitoulin Area Stewardship Council, mandates and initiatives on stewardship of the land continue to be a subject of discussion and action that the Manitoulin Streams Board of Directors seeks to continue and expand upon in the future!  If you wish to become involved in or participate one of our stewardship initiatives, please don't hesitate to contact us for more details!
