Manitoulin Streams worked with landowner Clayton Smith to restore and enhance the fishery along Shrigley Creek in 2019. At that time we gathered baseline information with College Boreal using electrofishing and there were only 3 minnow species found throughout the entire reach. After our restoration work and two years later we returned to the site to see how the fishery is doing. Two transects were completed and the results included 28 rainbow trout (82-151mm), 6 Coho (500-660), 3 chub (50-75mm), and 3 Central Mudminnows (60-81mm). Redds were observed and avoided so we are encouraged to see that a lot of recruitment is taking place
