Another successful year with Brill Strain and the Little Current Fish & Game Club hosting this fantastic educational session. High winds and cold downpours didn’t stop the success of the first day visit by grade 4 kids from Mindemoya and Gore Bay. Following days saw Assiginack School, Lakeview School, Little Current Public School and Wiky's Pontiac School. All were very excited to learn about stream restoration, invertebrates, fossils and wildlife, and receive a free fishing rod at the end of the day! Thanks to Bill Strain and Linda for hosting this amazing session again this year! And to all the volunteers that show up to help lead and teach and to the ladies for providing amazing snacks for the volunteers! There was also a gift and recognition from the Little Current Fish & Game club to Larry Killens, retired trustee for The Rainbow District Schoolboard. All in all, a grand few days full of fun and great adventure! | |
