The group from Sheg hall once again did a fantastic job feeding our crew this year. Hats off to all that contributed to a very enjoyable evening and thank you to all who attended, supporting our efforts!
On Thursday Oct 17 we held our AGM in Sheguiandah. A decent turnout showing good support with great participation. The board will remain as current with Therese Trainor as treasurer and Al Tribinevicious as secretary, as well as a director position with Delmer Fields remaining. John Gunn from Laurention University attended and gave a very informative talk on the disappearance and re-introducing of the Aurora trout (a type of brook trout) and the turning point for Sudbury’s contribution in reducing pollution as well as the concerns of remaining polluted water bodies. Seija Deshcenes also gave an update of the current restoration and educational work that Manitoulin Streams has completed for this year.
