Every year, community members, businesses, schools, and volunteers come together to help keep Manitoulin clean, healthy, and beautiful. Our Island-Wide Cleanup is a collaborative effort to remove litter from roadsides, shorelines, trails, and public spaces across the Island.
This event is about more than just picking up garbage, it’s about community pride, environmental stewardship, and protecting the land and waters that make Manitoulin such a special place to live and visit. ALL NEW FOR 2026, BRIDGE TO BOAT CHALLENGE!
This year, we’re adding a little friendly competition to the Island-Wide Cleanup! The Bridge to Boat Challenge invites teams to focus their efforts along the corridor from the Little Current Swing Bridge to the ferry in South Baymouth, working together to remove as much litter as possible from this high-traffic and highly visible area.
Whether you’re a business team, a group of friends, or a community organization, this challenge is a fun way to make a big impact in one of the Island’s most iconic spaces. Help us turn one of our busiest gateways into a shining example of community pride and environmental stewardship.
