The Manitoulin Phragmites Project
This year our summer staff participated in the ongoing Manitoulin Phragmite's Project run by local plant expert and biological consultant Judith Jones. The areas our team helped in this year were primarily located at Julia's Bay and Lake Wolsey. Each year the Manitoulin Phragmite's Project hosts a "Phrag Week" where they ask for community volunteers to get involved in helping to remove this invasive species and restore our wetland and riparian habitats.
