Brook Trout Eyed Egg Event

For two years COVID 19 has prevented us from involving any school groups as we normally would in the Brook Trout Eyed Egg Event. However, that didn't stop us from ensuring that our annual stocking of Norton's Creek with Nipigon strain Brook Trout. ​

Accomplishments 2021:
  • This year we stocked a total of 10,000 eggs into the creek.
  • Since 2009 a total of 100,000 eggs have been stocked into the creek
  • For the first time since restoration work has occurred at this site we had confirmed spawning adults
