Once again we are proud to report we had another successful year for our trappers course. Thanks again to George Hagen and Gino Cacciotti for their efforts to host this. These youths walk away with an experience of a lifetime and are able to obtain their trappers license and a kit. We hope to continue this session every year and look for other funding opportunities to support it. If you or anyone you know would like to support this course for our youth, please contact our office.
C.C. McLean Tours Kagwong with Sue Meert identifying invertebrates and checking out the stream restoration work completed to date. Afterwards, an educational at Chocolate Works and fish chocolates for all. A great day!
Well they don't get much cuter then this! Jesse from Manitoulin Streams was a proud leader of this young group of enthusiasts on a nature adventure in M'Chigeeng.
A slightly rainy day but still worth the trip. We were happy to give a last minute tour to Nick Harfield's Grade 12 class of our restoration work completed in Kagawong. Thankfully the salmon were still running! These kids were pretty kean on learning, and had some great comments. A great lunch at the Main Street Cafe with this group and of course, a visit to the Chocolate Works for coffee and treats.
