These pictures were taken one year after cedar split rail fencing was installed along upper Norton's Creek creating a 70 foot buffer. The fencing restricted the livestock from entering the river and it's riparian area. As you can see livestock have a drastic effect on an ecosystem. Manitoulin Streams works with landowners to responsibly manage livestock access.
