Therese Trainor is the newest board member of Manitoulin Streams. She holds Bachelor of Commerce and MBA degrees along with a diploma in Physical Distribution. She was a Finance Lecturer at McGill University in Montreal, Quebec for nineteen years. Prior to her academic career she worked for Bank of America, both in Canada and the United States.
In 2008, Therese fulfilled a long-time dream and moved to the island full-time. Currently, she resides in Kagawong where she authors and edits interactive web-based learning tools for Pearson Addison/Wesley and Wiley Publishers, for both Canadian and American audiences. She has always been actively involved in electronic course delivery. This began in the early 1990’s at the Institute of Canadian Bankers (Canadian Securities Institute) where she developed and delivered distance courses and seminars in Accounting, Math and Finance, both domestically and internationally. Therese has published books in finance, accounting and small business management.
Currently, Therese is a member of the Manitoulin Area Stewardship Council (MASC) and a seminar leader at Kenjgewin Teg in M’Chigeeng. |
