On a side note, I ran into my friend and previous boss Bill Keller from the Living with Lakes Centre with his son Jason fishing on the river. Can’t beat a beautiful day and the sight of lots of fish. I took a couple of pictures at some of our other restoration sites on my way home to the office. The salmon are making it all the way up to the Manitou dam. Another successful spawning run!
The wind closed up the mouth of the Mindemoya River so we were able to dredge it open again this morning. Lots of fish in the river! We’ve also posted some pictures of the educational viewing and fishing platform that is currently being constructed which will be wheelchair accessible allowing everyone a chance to learn about our fishery and have a chance at angling.
